AEW boasts a star-studded roster, but it’s always possible for fans to witness a new face each week. According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Tony Khan had hoped to introduce El Hijo de Vikingo during the Face of the Revolution ladder match on Dynamite, but unfortunately, that didn’t pan out. Komander was brought in as an alternative, which still keeps the possibility of El Hijo de Vikingo’s future debut open.
Despite Tony Khan’s numerous connections in the pro wrestling industry and successful collaborations with other companies, his plans sometimes come to fruition as he envisions them. Nonetheless, a replacement was found for El Hijo de Vikingo this time.
El Hijo de Vikingo, a highly skilled luchador who has impressed in every organization he’s worked with, is yet to light up AEW Dynamite. Only time will tell when he’ll make his debut in the promotion.
Tony Khan wanted El Hijo de Vikingo to debut in the ladder match but he wasn’t available so the office asked for Komander. Konnan works with KAOZ and a long time ago told them to put Komander, Dinamico, Sexy Star and Dulce Canela under contract because smaller companies could then sign them and KAOZ may then be blocked from using them, plus KAOZ and AAA work together. The idea was that eventually they would work out a deal where KAOZ allowed them to sign with AAA, although that hasn’t happened yet and wasn’t a priority because AAA can use them now.
