The WrestleMania season is in full swing, and the Bray Wyatt-Bobby Lashley rivalry is reaching boiling point. The Eater of Worlds has dedicated his entire Firefly Fun House army to trolling Lashley, and their clash promises to be thrilling. It’s hard to believe that this wasn’t even the original plan.
According to Sean Sapp, behind Fightful’s paywall, Bray Wyatt was being considered as Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania opponent just before the Elimination Chamber. Wyatt even went on record to say he would take on the winner between Bobby Lashley and Lesnar, but plans took a sudden turn.
It’s still determined why WWE went in a different direction, but we know Lesnar’s path to WrestleMania 39 has already been set in stone. He would be facing Omos, although it’s still uncertain if Vince McMahon had any hand in that booking decision.
Fans should still expect to see Wyatt and Lesnar in prime spots at the grandest stage, but unfortunately, not against each other. It remains to be seen if their paths will cross, but for now, the WrestleMania spotlight will be shared separately.
