In the rough and tumble world of professional wrestling, injuries are just parred for the course. And when they happen, they can have a massive impact on a wrestler’s career. But for NXT superstar Quincy Elliott, it seems he’s finally ready to make his long-awaited comeback.
Last year, NXT was exciting Elliott’s debut, clearly seeing big things for the up-and-comer. But unfortunately, he was sidelined by an injury, leaving fans wondering when he’d make his triumphant return.
Well, according to a report by PWInsider, that day has finally come. Elliott stepped back into the squared circle at the February 28 NXT Level Up taping, taking on the formidable SCRYPTS in a singles match.
Elliott’s last TV appearance was back in October, where he took down Xyon Quinn in a thrilling bout. And while he did wrestle at a December house show in Tampa, it’s clear that his return to the ring has been a long time coming.
It still needs to be determined which episode of Level Up Elliott’s match will air on, as WWE taped two weeks’ worth of matches during Tuesday’s taping. But one thing’s for sure: with NXT undergoing some significant changes in recent weeks, the return of stars like Quincy Elliott is a welcome sight for fans who are always hungry for more action.
