Eddie Kingston, known for his outspokenness about AEW management, may have parted ways with the promotion after the recent episode of AEW Dynamite. The Mad King and several other wrestlers, including Konosuke Takeshita, Ortiz, Action Andretti, Sammy Guevara, and Powerhouse Hobbs, The Mad King participated in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match AR Fox and Kommander. Powerhouse Hobbs emerged victorious in the match by unhooking the giant ring from the top of the ladder and will now face the Samoa Joe and Wardlow Revolution match winner for the TNT Championship next week.
After the match, Lexy Nair interviewed Eddie Kingston, who asked him about his altercation with Ortiz. Kingston said he was quitting the promotion and then left the building. How AEW owner Tony Khan will respond to Kingston’s departure remains to be seen. Still, given that Kingston recently challenged Claudio Castagnoli for the Ring of Honor World Championship during an ROH taping, it’s possible that this was AEW’s way of writing him off television.
