AEW is the Place to Be: Why Former WWE Superstar Has No Interest in Returning

Published on

Chris Jericho, a seasoned veteran in the professional wrestling world with over three decades of experience under his belt, knows his worth in the industry. Having competed in almost every major wrestling company, including WCW, WWE, NJPW, and others, Jericho has made a name for himself, particularly during his time in WWE.

However, Jericho has no plans of returning and retiring from WWE. Instead, he joined AEW in January 2019 after leaving WWE in 2018 and briefly returning to NJPW. Fans have since wondered whether Jericho will ever make a return to WWE.

When asked by The Daily Star about the possibility of ending his career in AEW, Jericho made it clear that WWE is not where he wants to be. He stated that he wants to finish his career in AEW, where he believes he can thrive. With his wealth of experience and talent, there’s no doubt that Jericho will continue to make an impact in the world of professional wrestling, wherever he chooses.

“I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. I don’t hold a torch for WWE. To me, that’s not ‘the place to be’. AEW is the place to be. It really is.

I’ve been in WWE. I know how it works. They work that way, I don’t care if Vince is there, Hunter is there, or whoever is there. They have a way of doing things, and I was there for 20 years and was pretty good at it.

Business is business and there’s always ups and downs, but I have zero interest in ever going back to WWE.

That’s not out of bitterness or anger. I love Vince and I love Hunter and all the people there.

But I just really dig AEW, and I have a stake in the game. I came here right out of the gate – I was the guy.

As of now, Chris Jericho finds himself amid a heated rivalry with Ricky Starks on AEW television. The two are set to face off in the ring, and only time will tell how their feud will be portrayed in the coming weeks. Wrestling fans will undoubtedly be on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating the next chapter of this intense showdown.
