Impact Wrestling is always on the lookout for new talent to bring in and shake things up. This often means bringing in fresh faces, including some who have previously worked for WWE. Two more names have recently been added to that list.
KENTA is one of these newcomers, who first debuted in NXT as Hideo Itami back in 2014. Despite being involved in some memorable storylines, KENTA was never considered a top star in NXT and eventually left the company after a short run. Another addition is Shane Thorne, who debuted in NXT in 2016 and later moved to the main roster after competing on the brand until 2020. Thorne was part of the now-defunct faction Retribution and performed as Slapjack before his release from the company.
Impact Wrestling has announced two matches for their upcoming television tapings, following the No Surrender event on Friday. The first match will feature KENTA taking on the Impact World Champion, Josh Alexander. The second match will see Shane Haste, formerly known as Shane Thorne, facing off against “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Both matches are set to take place on Saturday night, and fans can expect to see some exciting new talent in action.
BREAKING: In an update to this Saturday's #NoSurrenderFallout Night 1 at @samstownlv in Las Vegas, @Walking_Weapon will face @KENTAG2S in a HUGE first time ever match while @SpeedballBailey will now face the debuting @ShaneTMDK!
