Nikki Bella Expresses Her Desire to Make a Comeback to Wrestling

Published on

Nikki Bella, one of the most beloved female WWE Superstars in the organization’s history and considered by many as a pioneer of WWE’s Women’s Revolution, has expressed her desire to come back to wrestling. The WWE Hall of Famer decided to take a hiatus from the sport to spend more time with her family, but it appears she still misses the thrill of being in the ring.

Bella’s last appearance in WWE was at the women’s Royal Rumble match in 2022. Before that, the former WWE Divas Champion had not competed since a failed bid for Ronda Rousey’s “Raw” Women’s Championship at a house show in Rome, Italy, in 2018. While Bella now focuses on her family, her reality series “Nikki Bella Says I Do,” and various business ventures, she admits she still longs to be a part of the wrestling world.

During a recent appearance on “The Sessions with Renée Paquette” podcast, Bella opened up about her desire to return to WWE and how much she misses the sport. Despite achieving success in other areas, it seems that her passion for wrestling still burns bright.

“I miss it a lot. Every time I go do cardio, and I put on my music, I’m thinking storylines and cutting promos … I miss it. I miss it so much. I watch every now and then, and it’s only the women’s stuff. But, it’s like, I’ll watch certain matches, and I’m like, ‘Oh. That’d be so fun to be a part of.’ … But yeah, I wish I could be back [in WWE]. I would love to go back to do things, but it’s just different when you’re a mom.”

Last month, Nikki Bella was scheduled to appear at the “Raw is XXX” show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which almost led to her rejoining WWE. However, the WWE Hall of Famer was forced to cancel her appearance due to other media commitments.

Following “Raw’s” 30th-anniversary show, Nikki and her sister Brie took to social media to criticize WWE for the lack of female representation, particularly in light of WWE’s Women’s Revolution. They also accused the company of being selective with which legends they choose to invite back.

Considering their recent comments, it appears unlikely that the Bella twins will return to WWE anytime soon. However, only time will tell whether Nikki will pursue her wrestling ambitions in the future, given her history as a former WWE Divas Champion and her enduring passion for the sport.
