Johnny Gargano, a renowned figure in NXT for his intense rivalries with the likes of Adam Cole and Tommaso Ciampa, returned to WWE after a prolonged absence, eager to engage in high-profile feuds and establish himself as a mainstay on RAW. However, amidst his recent participation in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, an interesting tribute was observed through his ring attire.
Although Johnny Gargano fell short in his quest for the WWE United States championship, Triple H praised his exceptional performance during the post-event press conference. Notably, Gargano’s ring gear for the match was a special tribute to his son, Quill LeRae, who recently turned one.
Ring gear designer Jonathan Davenport, who has created designs for prominent WWE stars such as Bayley, Big E, Ricochet, LeRae, and Gargano, shared the backstory behind the unique gear in a post on Instagram. Gargano wanted to celebrate his son’s birthday and honor him through his wrestling attire, and Davenport was tasked with creating the tribute.
