Women’s Elimination Chamber match: Liv Morgan vs. Asuka vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Natalya vs. Carmella vs. Nikki Cross
Elimination Chamber took place in Montreal tonight, and it was quite a show. The Women’s Elimination Chamber match was the night’s first match, featuring six female wrestlers battling for a chance to face the RAW Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 39.
The competitors, Liv Morgan, Asuka, Carmella, Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross, and Natalya, fought fiercely inside the unforgiving structure, showcasing inventive spots involving more than two competitors. With each Elimination Chamber match given over thirty minutes, there was plenty of time to tell the story.
One notable spot saw Nikki Cross climb on top of Carmella’s pod and nail a crossbody on Raquel Rodriguez, Natalya, and Liv Morgan. Carmella failed at pinning everyone and trash-talked Asuka before returning to her pod. Raquel then drove Cross through Carmella’s pod, leading to her elimination.
Another incredible moment saw Morgan nail a sunset flip off the top of the chamber pod onto Raquel, but it didn’t get a pinfall. Asuka entered last and dominated Carmella.
Liv Morgan was eliminated after Natalya locked on a sharpshooter while Asuka locked her armbar simultaneously. Carmella then eliminated Natalya after a Superkick while she had Asuka in the sharpshooter. Both Asuka and Carmella pinned Raquel Rodriguez after Asuka landed multiple stiff shots.
The final two wrestlers were Asuka and Carmella. As expected, Asuka emerged victorious, winning via submission to secure her spot at WrestleMania 39.
