At the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Sami Zayn made a stunning transformation as he turned babyface by attacking Roman Reigns with a steel chair. However, The Bloodline quickly overpowered Zayn, with Jey Uso being the only one to break away from the attack. This hinted at Jey’s possible departure from the heel faction.
The following week on WWE SmackDown, Sami issued a challenge to Roman through Paul Heyman, declaring that the Roman Empire’s reign was about to end. In a backstage segment, Sami also expressed gratitude to Jey for turning against Roman and The Bloodline and offered him a way out. The two men shared a fist bump, signaling a potential alliance.
According to PW Insider Elite, Sami is set to appear on tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW to further build up his match for the WWE Universal Championship at the Elimination Chamber. There are rumors that Sami may share the ring with 2023 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes. Although Roman’s appearance is uncertain, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso can be involved in an altercation with Zayn and Rhodes.
Tonight’s RAW will also feature a contract signing between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley, as well as Seth Rollins appearing on Miz TV. In-ring, The Miz will face Rick Boogs, Bronson Reed will take on Mustafa Ali, and a six-woman tag match involving all the participants of the women’s Elimination Chamber match is also on the schedule.
