Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows have been absent from “WWE Raw” since their defeat against Damian Priest and Finn Bálor on January 9th.
It has been speculated that the absence of Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows from “WWE Raw” may be related to AJ Styles, their fellow O.C. stablemate, being unable to perform due to an ankle injury. However, recent information from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has shed light on a unique clause in their WWE contracts. The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) have a unique provision in their WWE contracts that allows them to choose not to participate in WWE events if they are not involved in storylines or matches.
“People were asking why The Good Brothers were not at the Rumble or at Raw. In their new deals, they said, ‘if you’re not going to use us, we don’t want to be there. Just don’t send us there. [With] all due respect we will do our jobs, but we don’t want to be there for not being used,’ and WWE said ‘okay.'”
Sean Ross Sapp also stated that Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows had signed five-year contracts with WWE, binding them to the company until the end of 2027.
It is noteworthy that despite their absence from television, The Good Brothers have been actively participating in WWE live events. Recently, they took part in a match against The Creed Brothers at a taping of “WWE Main Event.” However, they have not appeared on “WWE Raw” for a month, including in any segments with “Michin” Mia Yim, the other member of The O.C. stable on the red brand.
In the meantime, AJ Styles has been absent from all WWE programming since incurring an ankle injury in late December. WWE is likely holding off on reintroducing Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows to storylines until Styles returns to in-ring action. The O.C. lost its feud with The Judgment Day after suffering two significant losses in November, causing the members of The Judgment Day to move on to different storylines.
