After a two-year absence, the former WWE Superstar T-Bar returned to the ring on November 22 during an episode of WWE NXT. He was repackaged as Dijak and made his presence felt by attacking NXT North American Champion Wes Lee, igniting a rivalry between the two. At NXT Vengeance Day, Dijak attempted to take Wes Lee’s title but suffered a loss and appeared to sustain a significant injury.
At NXT Vengeance Day, Dijak gave a spectacular performance, impressing the audience. Despite his best efforts, he could not take the NXT North American Championship from Wes Lee. After the defeat, Dijak lay on the mat, and a concerning scene was visible to everyone watching. He held up his hand with a badly bent finger.
Contrary to appearances, Dijak avoided a severe injury. During a post-event conference, Senior Vice President of Talent Development and Creative, Shawn Michaels, stated that Dijak’s finger was not broken. Michaels referred to Dijak’s condition as a “modern miracle.”
“Yeah, everybody is good. I announced it at gorilla, it got to be a miracle. It’s not broken.
“We got him x-ray. They said it’s not broken. And so yeah, I guess what you do is you kind of numb it and put it back in place and that’s what’s happening now.
“But it is, again, a modern miracle because we all saw it, it was pretty gnarly looking. But apparently, he’s going to be okay, which is obviously fantastic news for us and him.”
