This past Saturday at the Royal Rumble, Sami Zayn turned on the Bloodline following a period of indecision. The SmackDown star attacked Roman Reigns with a chair, receiving a big reaction from the crowd at the Alamodome. Following this, he has chosen to throw away many items related to his ties with the Bloodline from his collection.
On Tuesday, Sami Zayn announced on Twitter that his association with The Bloodline has ended. The ex-Honorary Uce posted a picture of several Bloodline photographs framed and positioned near a trash can, along with the 2022 Survivor Series ringside chair featuring a Bloodline design.
In the main event of Saturday, Roman Reigns successfully retained his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens. After the match, Roman Reigns and The Usos attacked Owens, and when Sami Zayn tried to intervene, he was instructed by the champion to finish Owens himself. Zayn made his choice and suffered the consequences.
Jey Uso, unable to control his feelings, left the ring and Sami vulnerable to The Bloodline. He later tweeted that he had left the group after the shocking outcome of the WWE Royal Rumble premium live event. Jey is one-half of the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
The Bloodline storyline at the Royal Rumble was a highly anticipated event, with many wrestlers and staff gathered around monitors to witness it unfold. The storyline will continue on WWE SmackDown this week. It is yet to be determined how WWE will develop the group’s future leading up to WrestleMania 39.
