Wrestling fans rejoice! The wrestler formerly known as Fandango, who had hinted at retirement, has found a new home after wrestling on the independent circuit for a year and a half following his WWE release. He has been seen frequently at his new location and has adjusted comfortably.
According to PWInsider, Fandango, also known as Dirty Dango, has signed with Impact Wrestling. No information was given on the contract’s length or when the agreement was reached. Fandango took to Twitter this afternoon, quoting his former boss Vince McMahon, seemingly confirming the news with the tweet: “We make movies, pal.
Dirty Dango made his first appearance in Impact Wrestling at the Bound for Glory event in October, where he unsuccessfully attempted to win the Impact Digital Media Championship against Brian Myers. He then worked a taping for “Before the Impact” the following day before disappearing from Impact until January. So far, he has competed in three matches for the promotion, with two sets to broadcast soon.
Aside from his time in Impact and on the independent circuit, Dirty Dango has been predominantly active with the NWA lately. He formed a tag team with fellow former WWE wrestler JTG called the Dirty Sexy Boys and primarily competed in the NWA’s tag division. They reached the final of the Crockett Cup 2022 but were defeated by the Briscoe Brothers. It remains to be seen whether Fandango’s contract with Impact will end his affiliation with NWA or if he will continue to perform for both promotions.
