WWE has announced that John Cena will be the cover star for the upcoming “WWE 2K23” video game, set to release on March 17th. Cena, a 16-time World Champion, will also be the focus of the game’s “Showcase” mode, exploring his career from his days as the Prototype character in OVW.
WWE 2K23 will feature three cover versions for gamers to purchase, with John Cena as the cover star on all three. The Standard edition will feature Cena in his trademark pose, similar to the layout of last year’s game. The Deluxe edition will feature a black-and-white illustration of Cena in his “Dr. Thuganomics” persona. The Icon edition will show Cena winning the WWE Championship in a drawing style.
WWE 2K23 has announced that John Cena will be featured as the game’s cover star, including rapper Bad Bunny and WarGames as playable mode. The news was announced in a humorous video featuring Logan Paul and Triple H. The gameplay footage in the video also focuses on Cena wrestling Austin Theory, fueling rumors of a potential match between the two at WrestleMania 39.
