Jack Bauer – a fictional character and the leading protagonist of the Fox TV series “24”. His performance has served in several capacities on the show, frequently as a member of the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) based in Los Angeles, and working with the FBI in Washington, D.C. during the 7th season.
Jack Bauer, a.k.a Kiefer Sutherland, has intimated that he wants to cast in more “24” episodes. The star performed renegade anti-terrorist agent Jack Bauer in nine seasons of the hit thriller series, also arising in the 2008 movie 24: Redemption. Nevertheless, Kiefer did not return for the spin-off series 24: Legacy, which was released on Fox in 2017 and focused on Corey Hawkins’ Eric Carter.
While the former Brat Pack actor had said in 2016 that he would be reluctant to reprise the favorite role again, a recent conversation with Forbes saw him walk back his comments.
“I have always left the door slightly open for 24 if someone comes up with a great idea,” he stated. “As an artist, 24 remains one of the most effective experiences I have ever had. Where a character was allowed to have such highs and lows in such an active period is a gift.”
He proceeded: “There are very few setups that will enable you to do that, and I find that incredibly fun, challenging, and interesting. There have been 9 seasons, and I think it rests in a conceivable place. The difficulty is you don’t ever want to do anything that is going to damage that.”
Also, Kiefer stated that he had been “banging my head against a brick wall for a movie for so long that I have got a concussion,” but said that he would be open to a 24 renewal in any format, as long as the story was good.
24 Might be Show or Film:
“If anyone comes up with a great story that can be told in 2 hours, then we are going to make a film, but if someone comes up with a great story that could be 24 hours, we will do the show.”
In 24, the story is revealed in real-time, with all seasons covering a full 24 hours in Jack Bauer’s life.
